My name is Samantha. I grew up a true Southerner in Tennessee, and now I live in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, with my beloved husband, Wesley, and our puppy baby, (He really is more of a person tbh,) Winston. Wesley and I met in early high school. We have been together since I was 14 years old, and married since 2011. He is my other half, the one who supports and encourages me, and the only person I want to curl up with after a long day.
Winston has also been in my life since high school, when I got him as a Christmas gift. He was SO tiny! He is now what they call a “geriatric” dog, but I refuse to believe that. Winston is the most vivacious geriatric I’ve ever seen! He is so loving and sweet, and if you will pet him or play tug-of-war with his rope (and let him win of course,) he will be your best friend for life. We joke that now that we live here in W-S, we need another dog named Salem! We will see on that.
I am currently an elementary teacher, but I am exploring other career options. I gave it a good go, but I have realized it isn’t for me. And that’s okay. It’s exciting to think about what kinds of things God has in store for me! We don’t have any kids right now, but I can definitely see them for the future. Right now, we are enjoying this new city with new friends and the life He has so generously given us.
ABOUT SUCH LOVELIES
Blogging is something I have wanted to do for a while now. I absolutely love reading blogs over all sorts of topics. It’s always been a dream of mine to write something that someone would want to read. So, I started thinking of what I wanted to read and decided that would be my vision.
To love God, and help people grow in their faith through reading posts about real life.
Enter Such Lovelies. I knew I wanted a title that was the same letters as my initials. (Why? I don’t know. I just like things like that I guess.) I toyed with just using just my name at first. I finally settled on Such Lovelies after this verse just kept popping in my head.
And Such Lovelies was born. My goal here is to talk about things that are lovely (and pure, right, admirable, and true.) I think we can all use a little lovely in our lives. So welcome!
