It is no secret that I am a huge Fixer Upper/Chip and Jo fan. I mean come on. First of all, who isn’t? Second of all, if you’re in the “who isn’t” category, we have a problem.
There are two types of people in the world. Those that love Chip and Jo. And those that are wrong.
I, personally, think Joanna Gaines and I would be best friends if I knew her outside of my TV screen.
But since that is sadly not the case, I have to just live vicariously through picking pieces of decor that make me feel like she has done my home with all the care that she does on the show.
But dang. Some of this stuff gets expensive!! Now, I am not opposed to spending money on something high quality. You know that. But I also love a good bargain. And when we moved here literally this time last year, we moved into a much bigger space and I wanted to decorate everything. But in all honesty, I wanted to pay for nothing. Okay not nothing, but I have been constantly hunting for good farmhouse-style-inspired decor. Little things to liven up a space with that southern charming style.
I rounded up a few of my favorites that are super budget-friendly…affordable and adorable? Now we’re talking.
Ooooh just looking at all these cute things makes me want to go shopping!!
1 – I love these type of wire baskets. I have some in several places in the house. Use your imagination. Or your best friend…named Pinterest.
3 – You just can’t have “farmhouse” style (in my opinion) without some Rae Dunn. And I am one of those people who doesn’t believe in the blasphemy that is “Rae Dunn inspired decals.” I’m talking about the real stuff. Now it’s hard to find, but Amazon actually has a few things!! Like this “stir” spoon rest. That I am really dying to get my hands on. I see myself purchasing this in the near future since it is one that I don’t yet own. But also check out Marshalls or the app Mercari if you are looking for good Rae Dunn!
4 – There are so many farmhouse pitchers to choose from. I love my Rae Dunn “pour” and I have some regular galvanized metal ones, but I just fell in love with the look of this blue-green one. So cute.
5 – These wreaths can get super expensive. This one is small – 11 1/2 inches – but it would be perfect to hang on cabinets, over a frame or mirror, or on a tobacco basket!
7 – Speaking of pillows, you can’t have decor without throw pillows for your couch and chairs! These are some pillow covers, so you have to add the insert yourself, but a set of 2 for $11 is hard to beat. And they come in several color options too! I personally love the classic black.
8 – My friend Christie has a (maybe this exact?) coffee mug holder in her little coffee nook, and it is so cute! I saw this one and thought it was just perfect with the whole farmhouse style. And BONUS – it looks even cuter with Rae Dunn mugs hanging on it. ☺
9 – As much as I would love to go visit Clint’s shop and get some custom made candle sticks (and about every other piece of furniture,) Waco is a pretty far drive for me. I saw these candlesticks on Amazon, and fell in love! Great price and they look really cool.
10 – My mother-in-law always laughs at me for having fake greenery and plants around my house. As much as I would love to have as green of a thumb as Joanna, mine can be more considered…gray. So I like to get things I don’t actually have to worry about killing! This set is a great deal, and I love that there are two!
11- Tobacco baskets scream farmhouse style. There are so many different colors and shapes. And they can get up there in price as well. I love the grey washed look of this one.
13 – And last but not least, I love these empty back frames to layer or use with a wreath. Super easy way to add decoration to some bare walls without looking like you tried too hard. This is a set of two, decent size, for only $23!
Well that wraps it up! I hope you enjoyed seeing some affordable options for decor. If you’d like me to do more posts like this, let me know in the comments! Maybe next time, I can do some larger items under $50 or something? And don’t forget to check out my Pinterest page and follow me as I am always pinning home decor.
I hope you all have a wonderful Tuesday!
